The Purpose of Lent, of Life, of Faith: What is your purpose? What meaning is there in your life? Life is often busy, filled with demanding jobs, people, family, friends, that keep us constantly busy and asking the question, “What’s the point of all this?!” Facing his crucifixion, Jesus was asked why he was willing to face death. He replied, “For this purpose I was born and for this purpose I have come into the world—to bear witness to the truth. Everyone who is of the truth listens to my voice” (John 18:37). Jesus lived life fully, even the most difficult portions, because he knew his purpose. Join us as we examine the Gospel of Matthew as it explains the events leading up to the first Easter. Together, let us find our purpose in life in God’s Word.
